Architecture Juan Pedro Donaire

EME Fusion Hotel has essential architectural value for knowing how to combine key Andalusian iconographic elements with avant-garde architectural and interior design tendencies.
Edified by the renowned Juan Pedro Donaire for the annexation of 14 Sevillian houses, he has created an inner circulatory ring, which joins the entrances to the bedrooms and opens up into a large central patio. This patio is at the heart of the building, it has been decorated with a large whitewashed wall created from modern undulated writing based around the sebka or Islamic laceria. The houses, each one singular in its own way with different heights, forms and scales of patios make a world of great spatial richness.

Interior Design Tarruella and López.

EME Fusion Hotel has trusted the interior design of all of its premises to the prestigious and famed decorators Sandra Tarruella and Isabel Lopez, who have an enormous prestige in the sector and are creators of some of the most celebrated projects in our country. Among their accolades they have been distinguished with the Fad opinion prize in architecture and interior design 2004, the Saloni prize 2001 and the Silver Delta prize of the ADI-FAD in 1986.

Tarruella and Lopez combine the avant-garde and tradition in a coexistence in which nothing is left to chance, the load-bearing walls with a floor in sandstone rubbed finished, worktops or walls with walls covered with sheets of black glass. This is in contrast with other very natural materials and others which are contemporary. The beds are surrounded by black lacquered canopies with interpretation of the laceria which is embossed on the walls. The bathrooms blend in intelligently into the rooms thanks to the selection of the bathroom fittings: bath tubs free of an avant-garde design, sinks in carved stone, rainforest showers… Dispensing sometimes with architectonic barriers, although they do not challenge common sense or in any way renounce intimacy. The lighting has been solved with indirect lights through warm light-emitting diodes systems accompanied by designer lighting pieces to create almost homey atmospheres. This makes possible the feeling that the guest is in a pleasant space, far from conventionalism, the norm and escaping the established.
