Quickly, he designed a Paris hotel, mastering a total piece of work: architecture and decoration.

After this first design, he continued to develop boutique hotels in Paris and regional locations: LE VICTOIRE OPERA, LA VILLA SAINT GERMAIN, HOTEL THERESE, LE GENERAL, LE DUO, the REGENT PETITE FRANCE in Strasbourg, the JIVA HILL PARK HOTEL near Geneva, LE GRAND BALCON in Toulouse, L’AVENUE LODGE in the Val d’Isère…

Since, large hotel chains have called on him: SOFITEL (Budapest and Paris la Défense Centre), HILTON (Evian, Malta), the CLUB MEDITERRANEE (Peisey Vallandry) et d’autres projets sont en cours avec LE MERIDIEN (Paris Etoile, Bruxelles, Dubaï), RADISSON (Nantes), WESTIN (Aqaba in Jordan) and the TAJ HOTEL (India), MARRIOTT

scènes d’intérieur
Hall 7

Jaime HAYON space, scènes d’intérieur 2010 Designer of the Year

Jaime Hayon, a Spanish designer, is the scènes d’intérieur Designer of the Year. Endlessly playing with ideas and images, he shakes up the usual references, disrespects the established rules and takes pleasure in splitting his time between producing furniture and showing unique pieces in the most cutting-edge galleries.

After studying industrial design at the Instituto Europeo de Design in Madrid and spending time at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris (where Philippe Starck was teaching at the time), he joined Fabrica in Treviso (Benetoon’s communication research center). Three months later, he was named head of the Design section.

A man of many interests, he moved from one project to the next without asking himself too many questions. He also worked on more personal installations, such as “Mediterranean Digital Baroque”, his first show in London (a representation of ceramic cactuses surrounded by birds!)

An example of his work: a modulable sideboard designed for the Showtime collection. A striking piece of furniture (6 meters long), lacquered blue with legs in different styles—Art Deco, Louis XV, modernist. Jaime Hayon plays with the history of design in a carefree, creative way.
