Alma looks for a new composition and a different relationship between the elements of an armchair.
The result, two volumes that can combine different colours and materials. This enables the use of Alma in different areas: indoor, with fully upholstered version “Alma in and out with “Alma Out”, the result of a novel combination in outdoor furniture; polyethylene fabric.

The beginnings.
The Koo International story begins in 1998. Antonio Muñoz, founder and director with an extensive experience in the manufacture of upholstered furniture, decides to set in Silla (Valencia) and start this new venture with a very clear objective: to introduce into the market products of high design and quality with very competitive prices.
Today, twelve years after, Koo International can affirm to be placed between the most important manufactures of upholstered furniture in Spain.

Koo International today
One of the secrets that have accompanied Koo International in its road to the success has been its great ability to combine the experience and expertise of its staff, with the latest technologies applied to the production of upholstered furniture. Today a staff of 85 people, 40 of them picked up, working side by side in the 7000 m” factory space with leather cutting machines and fabric art computer-assisted able to optimize the tissue, reaching a cup up to 40 fabrics at a time.
The result: over 100 sofas produced per day, of which 20 are customized with special measures and a turnover of 10 millions euros in 2009. |

The future of the company
Although at present for Koo International household sector remains the most significant, the contract market is gradually gaining momentum and its positioned as the next target of the company. Hotels, restaurants, hospitals and offices, places of a large number of people and requiring the application of new production techniques and the use if high strength fabrics, including flame retardant fabrics, not neglecting one of the main values of the brand, the aesthetics of its pieces.

Faced with this new horizon, Koo International plants to consolidate its expansion strategy in the coming years and expand its presence in key markets as Spain, France, Germany, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Morocco, Portugal, United Kingdom and Ireland.
