From 12 to 18 September 2011, SAFI is launching the first PARIS DESIGN WEEK in connection with the professional fair MAISON&OBJET.

This unique event, open to the public and professionals aims to sublime creation and “art de vivre”. They will discover the latest trends in the centre of Paris.

During 7 days design, fashion, art, gastronomy, all the facets of innovation will be celebrated by their creators : fabrics editors, art galleries, institutions, restaurants…

PARIS DESIGN WEEK is ideally scheduled in the September calendar. Under the cover of “Paris Capitale de la Création” the week will be part of the enthusiasm of fashion and home wear shows. It begins on the last days of MAISON&OBET and ends by “les Journées du patrimoine”, a period when the innovations which will mark the year will be revealed to French and International professionals and journalists.

At the service of international exposure of design in Paris

The PARIS DESIGN WEEK is launched according to a concept which has spread for many years in strongly artistic cities around the world. It was thus obvious to organize in the capital of know-how and creation an event that would meet high expectations.

Paris city of « haut couture », interior decoration and gastronomy, with prestigious art and design universities, is also a main exhibition and touristic place. It is a birth and recognition place for talents and new ideas, gathering over 8000 designers.

PARIS DESIGN WEEK aims to be the showcase for this creative activity and its ambition is to launch the new event promoting design. The success of this event will allow, if the need be, to reaffirm the city as an international capital of creation.
