Showcasing all major categories of the lighting industry, from domestic to commercial and architectural, the third edition of the HKTDC Hong Kong International Lighting Fair 2011 (Spring Edition) will continue to light up the industry with plentiful green ideas.
Scheduled on 13-16 April 2011 in Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, the event will attract over 500 exhibitors from 9 countries and regions to fulfill orders for the coming busy autumn/winter season.

Benjamin Chau, Deputy Executive Director of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) said, “We expect more new technologies will rise to the fore in the industry, especially in the fields of green lighting. Two designated LED Lighting and Green Lighting Zones in the fair will turn the spotlight on this fast-growing sector”.

The two popular zones will feature major players in the lighting industry and cover every type of lighting including indoor, outdoor and handheld lighting; the Decorative Lighting Zone highlights festive and decorative products; while other zones comprise Lighting Accessories, Parts & Components, Lighting Management, Design & Technology and Technical Lighting. |
The Spring Edition will also serve as an information exchange platform, where the latest market intelligence and updates on industry standards will be presented at a series of seminars and conferences. In line with the LED lighting focus, the Fair organises a symposium on “Lighting –New LED Technologies”, which invites industry leaders and academics to share their insights and to forecast the LED technology evolution. Other events will cover new lighting product launches as well as unveil up-to-date lighting product designs.
The event of the industry – Hong Kong Lighting Design Competition will come to its fifth edition this year. The contest will invite for entries in coming April. There will also be a briefing session held during the Spring Edition to introduce about the competition and selection details.
The Fair will run concurrently with the HKTDC Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Spring Edition) and HKTDC International ICT Expo.
