With the edition number 30, the Mexico International Furniture Market celebrate their 30 years old, showing the strength and leadership in a display of 50.000 m2 with the participation of 450 exhibitors who gathered at Expo Guadalajara.
On this occasion, the show how was celebrated from February 9 to 12, use the 3 main salons and also use part of the parking lot in the second floor, with 2,300 booths.
The event was well attended with attendance by approximately 10.000local and foreign buyers, mainly from USA, Canada, Central and South America, but also some European countries.

The opening ceremony was attended by Jalisco Governor EmilioGonzalez Marquez, and the Undersecretary for Small and Medium Enterprises of the Ministry of Economy, Miguel Maron Manzur, and a large number of special guests from both the public and private initiative.

Humberto González Hernández, president of Afamjal, welcomed those present and gave a brief account of the origins of this exhibition, dating back to March 1982.
"There were many obstacles they had to overcome those entrepreneurs, but were more powerful and enthusiasm to create new opportunities for furniture producer of Jalisco and the country, they had the opportunity to grow and become stronger,"e said, referring to founders of the sample.
Since then, he added, Mexico International Furniture Market has achieved consistent success and has been the best tool for the development of hundreds of Mexican companies that have seen their business opportunities being part of this fair.
"What we see now are the fruits of what they built 30 years ago the founders of the show and those who have continued that work. It is the realization of a dream that shows what we do when we agree to make positive efforts," he added.

For his part, Emilio Gonzalez Marquez, Governor of Jalisco, said the success of Mexico International Furniture Market is the result of a clear vision of what you want and daily work. He also spoke of the importance of bet to design and generation of new proposals in thfurniture industry.
"It is not only to import ideas and designs but also to generate, create ideas, create concepts, create knowledge applied to this industry. DIMUEBLE is a worthy project that speaks to young people seeking to create a living industry, which grows and develops, that is different," said González Márquez.

He said the daily work is what takes to make an exhibition of furniture in a parking lot to more than 50.000 m2 in world class facilities and will continue to grow.
Also, Miguel Maron Manzur, Undersecretary for Small and Medium Enterprises of the Ministry of Economy, spoke of the importance of good understanding between the private and public sectors, to see projects made like this fair.
