YONOH is a multidisciplinary development creative studio founded in by Clara del Portillo and Alex Selma.
The studio is characterized by creating models which differ for their simplicity and functionality, unabashed pieces without leaving the innovation and the originality.
The trajectory of the studio has been awarded several times, receiving the Spanish national award for industrial design INJUVE 2008, a DELTA selection by the Plof lamp in 2009, the Golden ADCV Award for the Nenúfar Parasol in 2009 and have been awarded as finalists in the international prize ROCA Jumpthegap also in 2009. In 2010 Yonoh receives the Wallpaper Design Award for the Nenúfar project and the Emergent Value of the year AD + RADO Award.
Ion 2009 / Mepel
Ion is an office furniture collection developed by the studio design YONOH and MEPEL.
It is a simple system and multipurpose, in which the desks, modules containers, mobile drawer box and accessories are conceived like instrument of planning the work. Allowing to form a great number of elements for any type of necessity. Ion includes an ample range of electrification complements and support to adapt to all the needs. Tablecloth trays, modules, vades, lights, trays of electrification, screens for reception…are some of the multiple possibilities that this collection offers.
With a reduced number of elements we managed to realize any type of assembly of a fast and intuitive form. Allowing the horizontal growth anyway that needs. Either for the simple desks than for the more complex installation Ion is a collection with a simple technical resolution, of very easy assembly that equips the series with an incomparable structural robustness.
It counts with the possibility of choosing between three types of legs to adapt itself, even more to the taste of the user. The election of the legs determines the personality of each collection. This versatility allows the series to adapt herself to different spaces without any problem.

Box / Roca Jumpthegap Contest / 2009
Last September 24 were delivered the prizes of the Roca contest Jumpthegap, in wich we were finalists.
Unfortunately we were not rewarded by the first prize, what a pity!! But we wanted to be grateful for the organization, for all the jurors and especially to John Pawson, who delivered the prize, to have selected our project Box as one of the two who were competing for this one prestigious international prize.
A second put maybe does not look like a great thing, but to us it taste devine!
Also we want to congratulate Li Xi, the winner, for his fantastic work.

Tali lamp / Fambuena / 2009
Fambuena have just introduced at the ICFF fair in New York his new collection of lights. Among the news is Tali's collection, developed by our studio for the company.
Tali is the result of the study of light, its behavior, how to filter it and the feelings that it brings to the user. A thin ribbon envelops a delicate white shape and let the light pass with an irregular form and is filtered providing a pleasant feeling of warmth. The floor and table lamps have a thin metal white base. Four ribbon colors available, white, red black and beige. www.fambuena.com |

Plof lamp / reedition / Ona / 2009
Plof lamp, designed by Yonoh, was reissued with a new image, photography and an own website whit all the necessary information and additional content, such as the video of the making of photo shoot.

Clod / Noow / 2008
Clod is a chair made of beech and cotton rope of 6mm thickness. The chair is inspired by Japanese traditions, especially in the Jomon pottery, an old style that used ropes to decorate their surfaces. |
Nenufar / Samoa / 2008
Parasol is inspired by the form of water lily leaves. It has a screen which can be put into inclined position though a joint that pursues union with the central mast, which in the same time regulates the height of the parasol by an inner tube. The screen is made out of laser cutted aluminum upholstered in fabric screen. It can take place with two kinds of bases, a flat steel base in circular shape or a base in concrete.
