On a domestic level, a brief insight into the government's future development plans reveals a nation dedicated to increasing spending whilst reducing interest rates - thus displaying its potential to realise the Qatar National Vision 2030 ².
Assessing the projected construction outlook of countries like Qatar is no longer dependent on apprising the sometimes scant historical spending on infrastructure. Although the construction sector has seen a slight retardation, many governments including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Qatar have prioritised their major infrastructure projects and are exercising tenacious advancement ³.

There is however, an immense need to understand the challenges in sourcing materials, and developing the skills needed to execute and implement large projects such as the iconic football stadiums to be erected across the country.
With the aim of connecting a variety of industry specialists, the 3rdAnnual Concepts Middle East, produced by leading French business information company naseba, is taking place on February 22nd and 23rd 2012 at the Renaissance Doha in Qatar. It is hosting up to 100 leading architects, interior designers and construction consultants all involved in high profile projects across the Middle East, with a focus on those in Qatar’s progressive construction industry.
