Italian company Varaschin will present its novelties at Salone del Mobile 2010 of Milan
12 de Marzo de 2010
Varaschin is continuing the method started with last year’s collections: different items that merge outdoor and indoor furniture; a crossover that widens the range in our catalogue and enhances it with new ideas, new materials and types of decor to complete our offer. Besides new items, we have developed the families presented at the previous Salone del Mobile: chairs, lounge chairs and sunbeds for the Kente collection by Philippe Bestenheider; table and chairs for the Tibidabo family and occasional tables to match with Dorsoduro sofas, all designed by Calvi and Brambilla
The merging of indoor and outdoor has now become a characteristic of the Varaschin catalogue: materials typically used outdoors become the trademark of our new indoor items, for relaxed living and a Mediterranean atmosphere. The conviviality and naturalness of the areas outside the house are brought indoors: a green way of life, a lifestyle in harmony with nature, brings the sunny relaxed atmosphere of a garden or patio into the home.
Fabio Calvi and Paolo Brambilla have extended the 2009 TIBIDABO collection by designing a lounge chair and a table available in two sizes. Furniture items that recall the outdoors, made of hand-woven fibre: the armchairs have an attractive cushion with removable cover that makes them versatile and suitable for indoors and outdoors. The table with its glass top is equally at home indoors or out.
Also by Calvi and Brambilla are the two DORSODURO occasional tables, natural complementary items to the series of padded furniture presented last year under this name. Two solid wood coffee tables in different sizes with lacquered tops: the rectangular model features a leather magazine pocket to associate functionality with a strongly distinctive style.
Again by Calvi and Brambilla is the POGGIANO occasional table, a sober linear item complementing a sofa in any ambience, which matches easily with the existing pieces in the Varaschin catalogue. The piece is lacquered in a single plain colour and has a classical oval top: a passepartout for any ambience and style.
To conclude, bookshelves to complete the company’s range of cabinets: COMB, designed by Christoph Radl, is a module with a soft delicate shape that holds books and objects by means of a series of racks that lend discrete sober movement to the line.
The new items at the Salone del Mobile 2010 include a family of lounge chairs designed by Christoph Pillet: a series in woven metal that once again merges outdoor and indoor seating thanks to the thermo-welded cushion that graces the shell.
