French company Chevillotte presents HEIMO, an “Eco-design”, contemporary dining and billiard table
12 de Marzo de 2010
French company Chevillotte has just launched HEIMO on the market, the 1st “eco-design” billiard table, made of solid PEFC wood. Designed to be an elegant, contemporary dining table, it is also a billiard table that complies with competition standards
Intended for those who like entertaining guests, HEIMO was above all designed as a table. Fitted with its tabletop, it can accommodate up to 6 to 8 guests for a meal. Also in that version, it is of an ideal size to serve as a desk.
Its solid beech wood or oak finish makes it suitable for all interiors. It comes in two colours: ebony or light beech. Its refined design and its name - HEIMO means “tribe” in Finnish – are evocative of the Nordic lifestyle, imbued with warmth and conviviality. Bernard Moïse, a graduate of the École Nationale Supérieure de Création Industrielle (Les Ateliers-Paris Design Institute, Advanced National School for Industrial Creation), created the table.
Efficient for games, boasting aesthetic qualities and versatility, HEIMO combines all benefits to satisfy the needs of a demanding clientele, whether in terms of sports, interior design or sustainable development (indeed, HEIMO is made of PEFC-certified solid beech wood, a European eco-label which guarantees that the supplying forest is under sustainable management).

Since 1860, the Chevillotte Company has been one of the five leading players worldwide. Its wide range of billiard tables, from the most classic to the most contemporary, enjoys an undisputed international reputation, particularly in the world of competition. The company also restores antique billiard tables made of precious wood (amaranth, lemon tree, ebony, sycamore, etc.), and it once restored King Louis XVI’s billiard table as part of a corporate patronage initiative with the Château de Versailles. Currently exporting to about forty countries, Chevillotte is looking to develop its distributors network in upscale furniture.
